The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy at 7930 Bowness Road and 4411 16th Avenue Calgary are doing exactly that. Pharmacist Marie and her husband are passionate about helping Seniors maintain their health. Part of this commitment is ensuring that they have access to the medication they need despite their financial limitations. Together they work to provide medicine to Seniors who would otherwise be unable to get the medication they need by offering a “rolling account”. Seniors pay off their account as they can afford it, but in the meantime receive the medication they need. When asked about why she offers this to Seniors, Marie responds, “I want to treat Seniors as if they were my own parents”. What a tremendously kind and thoughtful gesture.
