Move Preparation

We ensure we have all the packing supplies you will need so we can hit the ground running! Then using our detailed sorting process we help guide and support you through the selection process. Deciding which items to keep, sell, donate, or discard can seem daunting, but with our guided approach you’ll soon be a pro!  Just as quickly as you can make decisions, we pack and label boxes.

 

Collectables 

Having vetted experts in various areas of expertise you can be rest assured that appraisals of your collectables are both accurate and fair. Once they are identified, we ensure the expert in the area of your collectable is consulted. Using their expertise they will be in a position to provide an accurate appraisal. Of course, the decision to sell your items at the appraised price is ultimately up to you.

 

Social Media Sales

The sale of items, both on- and off-site, is posted with detailed descriptions on numerous local and community sites. Selling items as we are working together is always our preference but not always possible. Social media sales have proven to be an efficient way of recouping monetary value for items no longer needed in your home.

 

Estate Sale

When a significant downsize is needed, an estate sale can be an efficient solution to dispersing many household items in a short time frame. Soft Landings prepares the home for the estate sale, advertises, and hosts the sale. Thanks to our growing number of followers and estate sale mail-out list, these sales have been a great downsizing solution.

 

Donating Items

After sorting through your belongings, you might find things you no longer need. If you choose, you can personally select these items for donation to help those in our community in need. It’s heartening to know that our clients’ generosity contributes to supporting local charities and making a positive impact. When you’re ready, we’ll coordinate the pickup of your items. Our dedication lies in ensuring your donated items reach those who truly need and value them.

Once the movers wrap up, we dive right into unpacking, arranging, and creating the cozy atmosphere of your new home. In a blink, you’re surrounded by the things that bring you joy, allowing you to savour the comfort of your new space. If you prefer, our team can handle every aspect of your move – from transferring internet and telephone services to hanging your cherished pictures. And, naturally, we make sure to clear away all the packing materials, completing your move with a touch of care and personalization.
